Bo cake is a unique Mid Autumn Festival traditional activity of Minnan people for hundreds of years. It is a unique moon cake culture and a kind of inheritance of history by Minnan people. According to legend, the Mid Autumn Festival Bo cake was invented by Zheng Chenggong when he stationed troops on Xiamen island to relieve soldiers' mid autumn festival lovesickness and stimulate morale. Thus, passed down from generation to generation, it has become a unique folk custom in Southern Fujian today.
